About Me

My name is Jeffrey Bowler, and I am running for a seat on the Revere Local Schools Board of Education. I live in Bath, in the home I grew up in, along with my wife, Sandra, and our three sons - Aram, Banks, and Caio. We also have the joy of multi-generational living, with my mother, Jean Bowler, residing with us as well.

I am a second-generation Revere alumnus, Class of 2000. Members of both sides of my family—the Bowlers and the Kerkians—have lived in Bath/Richfield community for nearly 80 years. Eleven of my aunts, uncles, and cousins have attended Revere, dating back to the 1960s. My parents, along with my Uncle Al, opened Wineberry Wine and Cheese in 1971, which eventually evolved into Gasoline Alley—now owned and operated by my Aunt Sue. My father and mother have lived in Bath since 1950 and 1954, respectively. They met at Bath Elementary, began dating at Revere High School, and married shortly after graduating.

After initially sending my brother, sister, and me to Akron Public Schools, my parents moved back to Bath so that I could attend Revere. In other words, my family has been deeply woven into the fabric of this community, both personally and professionally, for decades. We are forever tied to this school system, to the Revere community, and to the people who call it home.

I was a collegiate basketball player, and my love for sports led to a 15-year career as a high-level sports executive, overseeing business and sports operations for several franchises. I spent nearly a decade with the Cleveland Cavaliers organization and then five years in Washington, D.C., working with the Capitals, Wizards, and Mystics.

When Sandra and I were ready to start a family, we always talked about what it would look like to return home. Despite job offers and professional opportunities elsewhere, the idea of raising our children in the Bath/Richfield community and sending them to Revere was always at the forefront. In 2022, we partnered with my cousin Jonathan Kerkian and became owners of Corkscrew Johnny’s, which gave us the professional opportunity to move back. We purchased my childhood home from my mom, built an apartment for her on the property, and became the next generation to care for our family home, where my siblings and I have spent every Thanksgiving and Christmas for the past 30 years.

We made a monumental life change by moving back to Bath to plant roots and build a life here. Aside from being near family, the Revere Local School District was a major factor in that decision. We now have three young sons, all under the age of six, who will be Revere students, starting with Aram next year.

I care deeply about this community and the school system that has helped shape who I am. My education, athletic experiences, family values, and passion for people all stem from the foundation I received here. Now, I feel called to contribute to the next generation of world-changers at Revere and pay forward what this community has done for my family over three generations.

One thing I know for certain about this district and its people; if you show up for them, authentically and passionately, along with giving them reason to believe you will represent all voices with conviction, integrity, honesty, tenacity, kindness, and love, they will show up for you in return. I hope to earn your vote and the opportunity to help our school system continue to thrive.

My candidacy comes with no hidden agenda, no political party affiliation, and no ulterior motives. I simply want to help restore faith and trust between the community and the Revere Board of Education, and I pledge to continue building upon the excellence that so many have worked so hard to achieve at Revere. My vision is for Revere to be the best of the best. I believe we can be the top-ranked school district in the state, and one of the best in the country. That starts with trust and by ensuring our children receive an educational experience that is second to none.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I’m excited about the opportunity to represent all of you—beginning in 2026.
